An accomplished painter and makeup artist for film and television, Jeff Angell grew up in the beachside community of Malibu, California. With the Pacific Coast Highway almost at his back door, Angell's love of the automobile and the freedom it represents was a profound influence on the young artist. Always striving for artistic fulfillment, and largely self-taught, he spent years drawing and painting, growing and learning.

Wonderful nostalgic images of forties, fifties, and sixties classic cars, which he lovingly refers to as his "Auto Art," best represent Angell's ongoing love of the automobile. Shimmering chrome, fenders, glass, and paint transform the banal into a personalized statement of the human condition, an emotional interpretation, not intended merely to "represent" the image, but to use the feeling the image conveys to the viewer, to realize a more universal truth.
